Verdejo is a grape that is grown extensively in the region of Rueda in northwestern Spain. Common flavor characteristics include honey, pears, and crisp acidity, as well as a slight nutty flavor when aged.
Very high quality and one of the best white varieties in Spain. It makes very aromatic, glyceric, soft wines with body. It is plentiful in Valladolid (69%), Segovia and Ávila. It is considered a main variety of Rueda DO. |
